Objective
CommVault needed a two tiered campaign to raise awareness of its unique Backup and Recovery offering, Simpana. CommVault wanted to educate and motivate its partners to sell their Simpana solution and create brand awareness to new prospects. The campaign was commissioned centrally but would be implemented across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), Australia and parts of Asia.
Solution
Rok developed a two fully integrated campaigns which included materials that delivered consistent messages to promote CommVaults Simpana Backup solution. To ensure the campaign would work across EMEA and Asia the creative had to be visually strong and simple with a clear and concise message. The first campaign was based around a time concept ' Time to back-up your data' utilising and the second campaign was based on a humorous image of a sheep dog herding a flock of sheep' taking control of your data'. Campaign deliverables included direct mail, posters for partners to promote the offer through their business channel, pull up stands for partners to promote the offer at their events, email signatures directing customers to the microsite, e-marketing campaign delivered directly to customers and dual branded with partners and animated web banners and microsites in 5 languages housing all campaign assets for customers to access.
Results
The campaigns increased awareness of the CommVault Simpana solution with new prospects, pointing them to a website where they could access all campaign assets. The average response rate was 7.78%, which delivered a real rate of 5% above the industry average. The creative deliverables supplied to partners improved traction in the channel making promotion of the CommVault offer an easier sell.
