CEL Group website

CEL is a leading provider of business services to the private and public sector. Having recently gone through a massive expansion programme and restructure they needed an online presence for their newly-defned CEL group business, along with the 10 divisional or product businesses within it. We wanted to help CEL defne what they wanted before the design process began: using our knowledge of web design to plan an infrastructure that would deliver their business objectives, in the most powerful and cost- effective way.

To achieve this, we took a two tier approach. Firstly we looked at the branding and creative to make sure that they were consistent across the whole group. We then created a structured site map containing the websites for every individual business, which allowed CEL to see the big picture. This allowed us to create a suite of websites that were logical and easy to use, saving the client time and money.

Each website within the suite works as a standalone site, but also complements the others since they were designed to feel like they are part of a group. This holistic approach not only strengthens the relationship between the brands and creates a group synergy, but most importantly helped to keep CEL’s costs down.

And because the sites were designed as a group, they were based on the same content management system. Since each additional site was just another ‘bolt on’, all the hard work was done at the start.

The result was a streamlined and extremely cost-effective group website, built to the W3C Accessibility and Best Practice standards.
